The Dell PowerEdge R730XD is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2690 v4 processors. Each CPU provides 14 cores running at 2.60GHz, giving 28 cores in total. It has 128GB of DDR4 memory installed. Storage is handled by four 8TB 7.2K SAS hard drives, offering a total of 32TB raw capacity. A Dell H730P RAID controller is included for drive management and data protection.
This configuration is a good fit for archiving, file storage, or backup operations that require reliable throughput and moderate compute performance. The SAS drives offer consistent access speeds for larger data volumes, while the CPU and memory provide enough headroom to run background tasks or light virtualisation.
